Sunbursts #ShareYourShutters Winner for Fall 2017

Tyler Jorgensen

Congratulations to the latest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters shows two rooms decorated with stunning new Polywood interior plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her home’s architecture and her own personal style.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who some may recognize on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based interior designer with a penchant for stylish color schemes. A quick look at her photos shows how she combines whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s cozy and natural, but at the same time incredibly stylish.

Chelsey even has a few pieces of advice for designers in Oklahoma City and around the country:

  • Have a color scheme. When you go about decorating a room, you’re always able to adjust colors to customize it. Make sure to utilize tones either from your interior color pallet or ones that can accentuate it.

  • Be fluid in your use of colors. We chose white shutters and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So we chose to mix in pops of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey have a great eye for color, but her use of space in her house is great as well. From her chairs that lead the eyes vertically to the wall and her plantation shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s home is stylish, functional, and very cozy without ever looking overdecorated.

As our contest winner for Fall, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a great restaurant in Boston, in addition to having her designs featured here. To see more of her work, click over to her personal site at

And if you believe your new shutters look beautiful enough to be a winner, share them on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Oklahoma City house to take next season’s prize!
